In 2009, his first with Fort Worth , reliever Dustin Cameron had 14 saves in 28 appearances with a 3.21 ERA and 29 strikeouts while giving up only 10 earned runs.  Opponents batted just .212 against the righthander.

Fort Worth acquired the rights to Cameron in exchange for infielder Nelson Teilon in a trade made before the 2009 season.

Cameron, 28, was the closer for Pensacola in 2008, posting a 3-2 record with a 1.38 ERA and 14 saves. He finished the season by making 11 appearances for New Jersey in the Can-Am League before being traded to St. Paul following the season. He spent part of this spring in camp with the New York Mets.

Cameron was with El Paso from 2006-07, appearing in 71 games over the two seasons. In three minor league seasons, Cameron has a 12-7 record with a 3.11 ERA.
