In his first season with the Cats, Bell appeared in all 96 games for the team, batting .286 with 14 home runs (fourth in the league) and 86 RBI. He was third in the American Association with 45 extra-base hits and fifth in the league with 29 doubles.
In 2008 with Huntsville in the Southern League hit .245 with 10 home runs and 53 runs batted in in 124 games with the Brewers' Double-A club. In 2007, he played in 120 games with Class-A Brevard County .257 with 13 homers and 71 RBIs.
In 2006, with West Virginia in the South Atlantic League, Bell belted 12 long balls while driving in 68 runs and posting a .277 average. In his rookie season with Helena in the Pioneer League, Bell hit .300 in 58 games.
Bell played college baseball at Grayson County Community College in 2004-05.
